A little worried about nipple pain...

I'm currently taking the progesterone only pill, and at the same time am on a long term course of low doseage anti-biotics (lymecycline (Tetralysal 300)) for acne.  (Don't worry I know I have to take extra precautions!)

The problem i'm having is a pain that seems to come from my nipples, but more internally than on the skin, but the skin itself, is flaking ever so slightly.

Is this possibly due to the 'drying out' of my skin that the antibiotics is doing? Or should I be partucualrly worried?  Has anyone has simlar problems on this antibiotic?  I've checked the side effects, and nipple pain is not metnioned, although I do know, if a woman is lactating (which i'm not) the antibiotic is passed through milk.

Any help will be much appreciated.

I'm just finding this now, so apologies for the late reply.  Is this problem still occurring for you?  If so, I would recommend being evaluated by your medical provider, because being on antibiotics for the long-term can raise your risk of yeast and thrush infections, so this could be something like that.

It's alright now.

I found out what the problem was.  I am using an extremely strong wash for my acne, and I was instructed to wash my chest with it, because i get a few tiny spots in my cleavage.  The face wash is so strong that it was drying up the entire area of my chest.

I've stopped using it now though and all is well.
