Well, according to the Kama Sutra, my significant other and I shouldn't be having sex. In short, he's over nine inches and I was a virgin before I met him -- and on the small side, apparently.

Anyway, sometimes things get a little rough. I completely do not mind this. What I do mind is that I currently have an inch-long cut beneath my vaginal opening. It sort of looks like more of a tear than a cut; it's not deep at all. Whenever I think it's healed and return to my former exploits, it not only makes sex uncomfortable, but it makes life a little less pleasant afterwords (viz: ow).

The problem with being cut in such an elastic area is that nearly everything makes it worse. Sitting, walking, wearing pants, sleeping in the wrong position etc etc etc can all make the area stretch a little, making the cut worse, so it's taking forever to heal. On top of that, I have really sensitive skin. To the extent that I not only get abrasions from his hair, but I get allergic reactions to detergents/soaps/etc, and irritation if I don't rinse his semen off of the area immediately after sex. My life is wonderful.

But I digress. Right now I'm trying to use regular antibiotic/antibacterial Neosporin (+ Pain Relief) three or four times a day. Anyone know anything that works better/faster, or anything in particular that I can do to make it heal faster? Thanks!

ETA: Simiarly, what positions would be least likely to exasperate/cause this sort of thing? We've stuck with missionary lately, and I'm starting to feel guilty that he's doing all the work.

I'm not sure that Neosporin is the best medication to use, as it isn't intended for use on mucus membranes and can cause side-effects if it gets into the vagina.  You may wish to have your medical professional take a look at the tear to see if they have any helpful advice.  In the meantime, if you'd like an alternative to Neosporin, I'd suggest A+D ointment or plain vaseline.  Both of those would be able to keep the area lubricated (which will feel better) and will promote healing with minimal vaginal side-effects.

As for positions...how do you feel about girl on top?  You may be able to go at your own pace that way, and it'd give your boyfriend a break.  Good luck!

After using Neosporin for a little over a week, I haven't noticed any major side effects. It's pretty much just vaseline with an antibiotic anyway. I'll give the A&D a shot, and see how that goes.

And girl on top is still painful for now (I'm short, and he's tall -- for my knees to reach the bed, he has to be all of the way inside of me -- ow! Sad ) However, I think I'll be better in a week or two, and I can get back to my old routine. Thanks! Cheesy
